Tedford even worse at developing QB's than June.

I kind of have a tentative list of those I'd interview:
1. Gus Malzhan (he has an incredible resume and has run a prolific fun entertaining offense at now 4 universities-of course not sure about personality and alleged crazy-ass wife but I note he was chosen one of the best recruiters in the Country recently at Auburn)
2. Mario Christobol (having a tough year otherwise SMU would have no shot-and probably don't anyway-but he has the charisma, youth and recruiting reputation that makes him intriquing)
3. Gary Anderson-Utah St Head Coach-don't know enough about him but just know he shocks the hell out of teams that should kick his [deleted]
4. Sonny Dykes-I know many love him but I actually think Malzhan has a better resume but I'd take a look. If he succeeds he's probably heading to Texas Tech. And is he really a strong recruiter or is he loading up by signing in state nonqualifiers from Louisiana's deep but academically poor recruiting pool.
Then you got your hot national assistants like Kirby Smart, Chad Morris. Kingsbury-I think they will be gone
Then you got your experienced retreads like Mike Stoops (took job outside his recruiting territory), Jeff Tedford and whatever big name gets fired this year.
CONCLUSION: This has been a big waste of time because SMU will not fire June Jones-I hope he decides he can't win with the 2013 schedule and retires to Hawaii.

I think Smart is benefiting a lot from the athletes Saban is recruiting. Smart may not even be that good of a DC at another school. without the really good athletes. I don't know if he would be a good coach not what kind of offense he would run. Just my opinion.

Gus Malzhan has Arkansas St on 6 game winning streak heading to Sun Belt Championship. He has been an instant revelation everywhere he has gone. Apparently born in Irving Texas

Mentioned by a few several times. Highly underrated but not really a splash hire due to limited HC experience. Hard to know what we are going for.

Bobby Petrino should be our first call, without question.

Some more Malzahn wife quotes
On Auburn RB Michael Dyer: “He has a little bit of an attitude. He carries himself with a little confidence that we have to kick around every now and then. But he’s a great kid.”
On former Auburn QB Cam Newton: “He is cute. Pretty boy. I love him, but don’t tell Gus.”
On meeting with Lou Holtz: “We got to go to Lou’s house. Gus was way impressed. I kept saying, ‘He has a lisp or something. There’s something going on with his mouth. I can’t really understand what he’s saying. And Gus, was like, ‘Shut up!’”

Sounds like she had a bottle of wine backstage and came out trying to be funny. Not as bad as I thought it would be, but definitely not someone I would want to deal with.
