Jones cares enough to say no to blue after 1-11.

The uniform mockups I have seen on this thread do not really show our history. Please use a respectable graphics editing program such as photoshop or even gimp if you are going to attempt a mockup. Any fourth grader can use a custom high school jersey maker on some company website.
I have always loved your mockups since you posted these a while back... Loved the Blue especially, and really love everything about it!
Great job!!

And I've even saved all of your mockups and sent them to friends and family, and all agree this is AWESOME!!

Thank you for all the compliments on the mock ups. I apologize for coming off rude about the other mock ups on this thread and in the past. I just feel that getting the uniform right is not hard. Look at the past and SMU's legacy and it is a no brainer. Adidas has come the closest to getting it right since the DP (uniforms from 2008-2012). I hope that on Oct 5th they will go back to the Pony Express unis, at least that is what I took from the teaser video...

The real credit should go to the geniuses that designed the actual 1948 era uniform and the 1980's era uniform. Original, timeless designs...

Old white guys on pf debating about the jerseys kids where and saying no to chrome and other modern looks- this is priceless. Someone just ask the kids what they want, and what they like. I bet you they would kill to have that chrome helmet for just one game.

It ain't 1950 anymore gentleman. Classic is great. But with some modernizations. And an occasional cool alternate. Everyone could be happy.

The key word is an 'alternate' uni.

Personally, I just wished they went back to the old leather skin helmets without the faceguards

As an old white guy I am offended not only by the broad brush but the fact that I went back and read every post and found no one, old, young, black, brown, or white who complained about anything. Some have different preferences but no complaints. Personally I love the chrome helmet that changes colors as the day goes on. And there are not many, if any, older and whiter than me.

The East West Shrine Game every year is a perfect example of why athletic departments let student athletes have very little opinion over their uniforms. Below is what happens when you give student athletes an inch... They take a freaking mile...

1523, your mockups are outstanding. I love the blue the best and the white. I agree with what someone else said that the only thing I would change is the under shirt on the white to red or blue. That's ticky tack though.

The picture of Texas on the arm just looks awesome. Would be so excited if we got your unis. WOW

Fair enough... I made that mock up when June was obsessed with black. I felt it was a nice compromise, but who cares now. I went ahead and got rid of the black cleats and gloves as well.
