that 28 pt spread probably depends on whether Sumlin allows Manziel to use this game as a "stat padding" game or pulls him early. Based on what I've seen these 1st couple of weeks, I expect A$M to score at will against us

Go Mustangs! Beat The Hell Out of A&M!
About 25 feet from the Hillcrest track... With the boots so tall and the writing on the wall...
SMU has a history of playing TAMU to the wire and even beating them, and have done so when TAMU have been highly ranked and SMU have been Bottom Tier. I am hopeful that SMU offense can continue to improve, will be well rested and at least control the clock somewhat with the running and dink and dunk passing game, GG continues his steady, no turnover play, and actually stretches the field a bit...Continued strong special teams play, a couple of turnovers for SMU defense, throw in a surprise onside kick, some inclement weather and... VOILA!!! It's SMU 37 Tamu 34 F

Don't know what history you are viewing, but SMU has not defeated A&M since the DP. Last time was at Texas Stadium some 30 years ago, I was at that game. Played them close a couple of times 20 years ago, but that's about it.
This century we have played them 3 times, losing by a combined score of 160-25. That equates to an average loss of 53-8 for those that are mathematically challenged.
