How many SMU fans would go see SMU v Memphis at 11:00 am at the Frisco soccer Stadium on a rainy day when Texas/OU was on TV?

Does anybody else find this

? TCwho fans coming on to an SMU blog explaining away their empty stadium, after slamming on SMU about the Ponies attendance.

I would because I'm a Mustang fan, not a cow.

FC Dallas Stadium is much farther from our campus than BBVA Stadium is from the UH campus. Cotton Bowl is a better comparison, except from a size standpoint.

Hey LHS81, is it permissible for folks who are BOTH SMU and TCU fans to come on here and post? Do we need your permission? (We get SO many telephone calls from the SMU Alumni Development people that we earn a post or two.)

TCU is a very small school by major conference standards. 8400 undergraduates - most of whom are women - half are from states other than Texas. Being in the big 12 won't change this - TCU will always have attendence issues.
Football games are TV shows now - for the convenience of the TV viewer.
Finally, TCU is playing boring, uninspired football right now. I don't blame the audience for getting up and leaving.

Yes. Texans are a minority at TCU among entering freshmen.
I don't make excuses for TCU attendence. After seing dozens of games there and never personally seeing the old stadium filled once... I just accept it. The team doesn't deserve it. I remember in 2008 when the team was finishing a 12-0 season, the final game against New Mexico was half empty.
