Difference is USC cares about football. Their alums demand it and the admin expects it.

JJ would be thrilled to get fired. He can finally get back to Hawaii.
He wanted to be fired 3 years ago but we wouldn't cooperate.

Who knows, a new coach would bring excitement to the players and fans, maybe we would go 6-2 in conference.

SC fired Kiffin and still had a 10 win season. One school demands a much higher standard of performance is willing to pony up for success, the other worries about how it can cobble together a $2M buyout.

well then all he needs to do is contact his attorney and I'm sure a settlement could be arranged. That's what should have been done last year for the benefit of all parties. Both parties were apparently too stubborn to compromise when all parties knew that the end was in sight. I really think this might get so bad that June will never get another job. He might want to think about that. Bail now before you get a 2-10 or worse record on your resume

If smu fired June then started an alumni fundraiser to get 2 million they would probably get it in a few hours

Since this is the bye week now would be a good time to make the change.

don't you think that 2-10 is a bit optimistic after what Memphis and USF showed yesterday?

I hope we don't fire June Jones until the end of the season. Don't bail him out so easily. Make him have to go through the garbage he created. However, the search for a new Head Coach should have started after the first quarter yesterday.

only if the team overwhelmingly wants him to stay on. I wonder where their heads are right now?
