I really don't know why Norm thought it was so necessary to have a needless segment kicking Hart's positive attitude.
I mean, WTF is Hart supposed to say?? We suck, I hope we can get somebody to coach us?

So then Norm points out many of SMU's shortcomings and risks and none of SMU positives and possible rewards with coaching and recruiting in this hotbed of high school talent.
Amazing, I actually cannot remember the last SMU hatchet job on the radio.

SUCK IT NORM. I mean even YOU can do better than that POS analysis.

You want to be head coach at a P5 school? Come to SMU and turn us around. Every school in the country will be knocking at your door. The last coach's agent screwed up an offer from Arizona State after he turned us around, and then the coach went on a two year pout. Come here and win in a very winnable conference and you'll be the hottest property out there.

Not a good job? You must be joking! What person wouldn't want a 4 or 5 year contract making 1.2-2.5 mil a year wearing shorts and warm-up suits, being outdoors and when you are indoors watching video and sitting around talking football...if you win getting a raise and if you lose every game taking a buyout for 2 or 3 years. Sign me up. Not a good job would be making minimum wage in the middle east getting your legs blown off or worse...maybe trying to get through another day like so many people.

SMU is one of the Top 40 to 50 head coaching jobs in the country and thankfully people in the industry know this and we are in a position now with the AAC and our exposure on ESPN to capitalize on what we have to offer. Norm is dead wrong that this is not a good job.

Coaches thought it was a decent job seven years ago. June wasn't the only guy during a 71 day coaching search to put his hat in the ring.

And that was with an administration far less committed to athletics than the one we have now. We've made tremendous strides in addressing the needed changes to our academic and institutional structure to allow us to recruit a wider range of kids. We've also proven this job is not a coach killer and it is possible to win here with four straight bowl appearances.

We landed June Jones fresh off a BCS bowl and an undefeated season at Hawaii. The job is infinitely better now. So why would it be a bad job? Oh yeah, and we are in a better (albeit slightly) conference with far greater TV exposure.

Yes but the SMU Head Coach has to deal with 2 reporters from the Daily Campus, Pony Pride, Rivals college intern and the dreaded E.J. Holland for 5 minutes every day after practice then its off to the Dallas Country Club for a round of golf after noon. Think about what Mack Brown had to put up with at Texas with the Longhorn Network and its alumni. I bet the SMU job as run by June was a piece of cake in comparison. Heck he went on 3 trips in mid-January while everyone else was closing out their 2014 Class and canvassing the 2015 Class. Unconfirmed reports of him taking a month off from the job. Pretty good gig for 2 Million a year

How many times would we have to hear from high school coaches that are within 15 miles of campus that SMU coaches haven't been seen or heard from in years? How many times will recruits, even committed recruits, give interviews saying that they haven't spoken to or heard from an SMU coach in weeks? Mack Brown would put an end to that nonsense.
