DMN has a quote from Kadarius Smith stating that a bunch of P5 came after him hard in last few weeks-one new name was Missouri. They wouldn't have done that so late without intending to offer so I'm adding Missouri

This is true, KD told me he was getting heavy recruitment from Oklahoma State as well. But, we landed him!!!

No I appreciate it-just careful not to inflate the numbers. Recruiting services really don't do a very good job of this even when they themselves report an offer. 247 has the right idea by documenting offers and dates of offers. But they miss some too

Pretty remarkable that all but one kid held true to their commitment. Says a lot about the character of this class of kids. Who knows what offers may have come if they had left their recruitment open until the end?

This says a great deal about the coaching staff in general and the tenor set by HCCM in particular...but I think more important than that is what it indicates about the relationship these coaches helped foster and these incoming kids developed. The way this class grew together is going to pay dividends on and off the field. I'm really looking forward to see these kids grow as a team and as leaders and can't wait to see where they bring the program.

Interesting that the only 2 kids that didn't hold their commitment were the non-Texan recruits. If nothing else, coach proudly got to say today that all 25 of his recruits are Texans. Texas Tough!
