Lol at not being ranked bc it's Jank not LB. Possibly, just possibly, it's b/c we weren't predicted to win the league and started unranked. Maybe it's b/c the media only saw losses of Nic, Markus and Jordan and never considered what we had in reserve. Then, we lost a few early, one we shouldn't have etc.

Haha...me too. Dragged a friend downtown to the sports bar (can't remember the name and think its gone) to hear Coach Tiki and Doh.

This is the greatest ride we have had since the pony express. I will argue it's better because this is built to be sustained. In hindsight, our 80s antics were destined to be exposed and dealt with. As hoop points out, SMU fits the mold for long term basketball excellence. Jank sees this as his dream job; if he gets us to the tourney 80% of the time with a couple 16s and maybe further, oh my oh my.
After spending four games with Kansas, he plans to visit another protégé, Maryland's Mark Turgeon. He was spotted recently at a Skyline-Jesuit basketball game after he'd delivered his daughter and son, both SMU students, for the spring semester.
He was also in Orlando on Wednesday to watch SMU's 65-60 win over Central Florida. He's seen several SMU games in person this year and remains a presence.
"I'm thrilled with what they're doing," he said. "They're all my kids, as well as most of the staff. "As long as I'm not a burden, I stay in touch."
