Irrelevant. The AAC also has baseball, softball, and men's track none of which we have.

That being said I have no problem dropping equestrian for lacrosse. Only issue may be that equestrian is 15 scholarships and lacrosse is only 12.6 (I think).

If we wanted to ball out, we would keep equestrian and add women lacrosse and men's track (12.6 scholarships). Title IX would balance out then and we would need 0 new facilities. That would take some balls though (literally).

Glad you aren't running any businesses out there. You'd be a blast to work for.

Get off my lawn!!

This is so true other than the sexist part.

One can argue if the hype matches the action but at least they appear to be doing something.

Whatever it is will have zero impact and none of us will care and all of us will complain :)

Look, I'm no marketing expert, but in my experience, when you do the whole "something big, huge, superfantastic, exciting, amazing is coming" tease, you are setting yourself up for disappointment unless that thing is going to be 100% (or 99%) generally agreed by your customer base to be amazing. Otherwise, if you're not ready to announce something, don't. Wait until you're ready to announce it without the secretive, coy tease, and then express how big and exciting you think it is when you are ready to say what it is, as in "We have exciting news: we are ___________________." Or just announce something and let people use their own adjectives. Otherwise, you overpromise and underdeliver. It's the nature of the human psyche to start imagining what is "big", only to find it's a new marketing deal or something that most average fans are going to find pretty ho-hum or irrelevant to them. Don't invite that problem.

If the Boy Scouts of America can admit women to its ranks, why can't the men's teams at SMU do the same ?

Im guessing Mustang football billboards across Texas. Not earth shattering but definitely a step in the right direction.
