That’s pretty brutal for Houston. Missing those 2 free throws will haunt that kid.

Hate that for the conference, but so many questionable late decisions by Houston... not to mention missed FTs. Ouch.
Hope Cincinnati fares better tomorrow. The AAC can't really complain about no respect if we never earn it.

Hard for me to feel bad for UH tho.
Took me about 5 seconds to go from "Damn, they almost had it!" to "Well, [deleted] 'em anyway."

So close to a sweet 16 that the AAC really needed. But they Coog it.

Oh no! The committee will now think that the BIG10 is better in basketball than the AAC which they forever-will.
Glad they can’t sing about the Sweet 16 while recruiting. Yeah they can say they got to the ΓÇ£2nd RoundΓÇ¥ and ΓÇ£almost-to-the-Sweet-16ΓÇ¥, but it just doesn’t sound as impressive.

Why does the AAC need teams to go deep again, other than money that's not as satisfying as seeing them lose. What happened to Manbun and crew is delicious

Especially with the crazed wild-eyed antics of the sniper that hit the 3

This. I was thrilled when they lost. I can’t ever bring myself to root for UH. Also, as mentioned above I don’t want to hear all there sweet 16 talk from fans or in Recruiting or more about the amazing Rob Gray.

Committee already thinks more of the Big 10 as evidenced by Michigan being a 3 seed and Houston a 6. Have to make your FTs in close games and Cougs just choked in the end. Of course, it always helps to throw in a prayer at the buzzer! Very entertaining game, as was the Loyola vs Tennessee slugfest.

Re: AAC NIT/NCAA Tourney thread
At the moment, no one gives a crap about the AAC. The more teams we have that make noise in the tourney, the more relevant our conference becomes. The more relevant our conference becomes the better our recruiting and TV deals get.
