It is a form of targeting. Just for the knee rather than the head.

BTW I saw a replay of the injury he suffered against Navy-it was a dirty as hell chop block-when is the NCAA going to start kicking players out for chop blocks?


Was it a single man cut block or a two man high-low engagement befitting the penalty?

pass-off block that was actually a double. Illegal, but missed by the officials.

Wishbone teams cause an extraordinary number of knee and ankle injuries to their opponents by the simple fact of the angle the blockers take, and the habit of shooting for knees.

Wouldn't want to be an official calling a game involving a wishbone team....wouldn't want to be an orthopedic surgeon treating the athletes after a game either.
