Coaches and players will never say it, but I will: these officials are having an awful day. They're not deciding the game — their incompetence has been fairly balanced — but this is not a game they're going to want to keep for their r├⌐sum├⌐s.

Nice day at the office: Marcus Weathers has 27 points — his season high was 22 vs. Northwestern State, and he once scored 28 while playing at Duquesne vs. Rhode Island. He has scored a lot in the paint, on free throws, a three-pointer and on a goaltending call ... and he and his brother each have a team-high 8 rebounds.

Remember this post from ... a minute ago? Michael Weathers just made a block — a spectacular block — and got whistled for a foul, despite replays showing it was clean. Maybe the best SMU block this season.

Agreed. Temple is better than I thought — not surprising for a McKie-coached team. He was an unbelievably tough player, and his team seems to reflect his style.
