Phelps with another drive for a bucket and a foul — adds the FT for 26 points.

OK, it turns out the initial post wasn't wrong after all. Odigie just fouled out

I would say Zhuric Phelps is out from under K.D.'s shadow. Will be interesting to see what kind of season he has and really looking forward to his matchups with Davis. We had 7 different guys contribute to that 3-18 three point shooting. That was ugly but it's a W that was supposed to be a W. Three double figure scorers and Odigie and Todorovic each finished with 9. Odigie very close to a double double with 9 pts and 9 boards. Williamson gets his double double with 11 pts and 11 boards

Was just asking myself the same question. Could Phelps end up being an upgrade?

It is nice seeing some big guys on the boards.

I want to see a lot more Todorovic. Nutall’s a solid player who brought some timely spark. Williamson has an ΓÇ£itΓÇ¥ factor. Phelps appears to be a legit star. And Odigie seems like he’s been here forever, in a good way.

We could really struggle against teams that press a lot, and if Phelps gets hurt or in foul trouble. A lot is going to be asked of him. Thankfully, in a sample of 1 game, he looks up to it. He was awesome.

On the other hand, the perimeter defense was good. Looked like the guys have bought in to Lanier's philosophy on that end already. Hope it continues.

Coach said he's just "not ready" after being away from the game for a year and a half but expects him to be a really good player for us
