Just dumb to give himself a checkmark for Wake/Pitt.indianmustang wrote:https://twitter.com/CollegiateJam/status/1760796299702714458
We really just need finish in the top 4, because we have an excellent chance of winning the tournament. Getting an at large is a real long shot unless we win the next 5, and that's a tough one. Would love to sweep Florida, but I don't think we do.highlander wrote:You know what they say about good teams and bad teams....shadowman wrote:UTSA really let me down last night, I devoted an hour of my time and actually watched that second half. The Roadrunners had that game won. They were up 5 points with about two minutes to go and never scored again. Missed a critical one and one, missed easy shots at the basket, committed silly turnovers. Also, when they were trying to foul when it was still a one point game, they got an intentional foul call against them which gave USF two free throws and the ball back. To the credit of USF, they drained all their critical free throws.
Huge two game stretch here, biggest of the season. Two wins, and we should at least be on the bubble for the NCAA, maybe even in the field on most brackets, Two losses and we will have to finish strong to get one of the four byes. A split pretty much keeps us where we are now, firmly in charge of one of the byes, which is not an entirely bad thing.
Hoping for a sweep, but will be happy with a split.
Go Ponies!
I think we have to win both to have a chance at a tournament bid.
If we win this game today, our odds of finishing in the top 4 are really good. UAB still has to play at Memphis and at Tulane, and since they just got blown out by Rice their odds of finishing in the top 4 are almost nil. Tulsa beating Charlotte last night helps as well, because they have to play South Florida and at ECU which is an in state rivalry game.Charleston Pony wrote:Arizona State upset # 21 Washington State 73-61 last night
That upset loss by Charlotte @ Tulsa has us tied with 4 losses with both Charlotte and UAB but we still have to upset USF and will still have to win out including beating UAB in Birmingham to be sure of locking down a top 4 seed so it remains a really tall order for our guys. Hopefully they can catch fire in Tampa today
Auto bid to the NIT if they don't win the AAC Tourney. They could win out and lose in the AAC Finals and would still be a long shot for the NCAAs because of those early season losses. They are clearly not the same team that lost those games. Lots of teams are upset early in the season but they had some really ugly losses before they whipped FSU and started to gelindianmustang wrote:Looks like USF won the aac regular season title
