Not to hijack the thread. But random question.

Had a close friend who played for OK and we were discussing NIL and the upcoming legal settlement. He told me that the PGA is forbidding amatuer players from accepting anything from that settlement as that would endanger their amatuer status? And again, this is PGA and not SMU or NCAA.

I probably phrased that poorly but curious if anybody has knowledge of what I'm trying to say.

Don't know about the impact of the House settlement but we had a local player here in my area (Caleb Suratt) who took NIL money to play at Tennessee as a FR and that didn't affect his amateur status. He left after one season to join John Rahm's LIV team where he is doing pretty well

Meanwhile, Mac & Harry opened the Byron Nelson with 3 under rounds that have them in position to make the cut but are chasing a 10 under pace set by Scottie Scheffler. Noah is at even par and will have to go really low today to play the weekend

Mac finishes his rain delayed 2nd round and is in at 5 under so should make the cut but Harry & Noah are done for this year's Byron Nelson

Mac finishes T-65th and 29 shots back but at least he earns another check

DeChambeau was amongst PGA Tour's top 50 highest earners of all time before making his shocking jump to LIV Golf. Bryson DeChambeau spent nearly seven years at the PGA Tour while it only took him three years at the LIV Golf to overtake.

While the top ranked players are in PA this week competing for $20 million, the grind continues for Harry, Mac & Noah who are in Myrtle Beach competing for a $4 million purse

Korn Ferry Tour is off this week before playing in Missouri and Tennessee to round out the May schedule (Harry won both of those events last year when he got on his hot streak)

Harry at minus 4, Mac minus one and Noah even par all chasing the 1st round lead of 8 under at the Dunes Golf & Beach Club in Myrtle Beach

Harry was playing really well today and was 7 under through 16 holes getting him to 11 under for the tournament and in the lead before taking double bogey on 17. He finished his day with a 5 under 66 and sits at 9 under still tied for the lead but yesterday's pacesetter hasn't teed off yet

Mac is struggling today and appears he will miss the cut and Noah is hovering right at the projected cut line through 15 holes

Round three is in the books and Harry sits at 12 under, only one shot off the lead

Harry finished 72 holes in a 3 way tie for 1st but couldn't match the winner's birdie on the 1st playoff hole. Still a strong week for him, earning $356k and now flirting with the Top 100 on this year's money list with over $560k

Bryson fell short at the PGA finishing in a tie for second. But he's consistently in the hunt in these majors. Would be nice to see him win another US Open and/or the Open.

Taking that double at # 17 on Saturday as Scheffler caught fire was just too much to overcome but another good showing in a major for sure
