That game was just what the doctor ordered for this SMU team that was licking their wounds after playing Duke and UNC back to back. Shooting 50% from the field including on their 3 pointers and handing out 25 assists vs only 10 turnovers was encouraging to see. Now hopefully they can pick up a couple of road wins at Virginia and Miami and build some momentum before some really tough games with Louisville and NCSU

We are an NIT team that beats up on bad teams and disappears against good teams. Beating up on the Georgia Tech's really doesn't prove anything. Nonetheless, winning is fun and I look forward to a 20 win season. I don't think we are an NCAA tournament caliber team but may very well sneak in anyway.

We still have Quad One opportunities and if/when this team shoots well they can compete with anyone so we'll see how things play out

At least we are beating up on bad ACC teams instead of AAC teams.

Definitely Wednesday at 9:00 eastern. I'm headed up with my Virginia grad golf buddy who is going to give me a tour of their campus. Never been there. Hopefully we can sweep these guys. Virginia fans are pretty depressed after a horrendous west coast trip

I'm going with my law school roommate who is a UVA grad who lives near C-Ville. Their coach bailed on them before the season started. So, I can imagine that they are disheartened. Still they have lots of good players and they are a proud program with a recent Natty. So, we'll have to bring our A game. FYI, there is still lots of snow on the ground up there.
