Gilbert was solid the whole night. Turnovers and stupid penalties is what put us in such trouble. The D dialed it up late in the game and that was huge. An 89 yard final drive to win the game was huge
I think most of us feel the same way about this one. Nice to win, but to have to win that way against a FCS program doesn't give me any cause for optimism. I have supported this program through winless seasons and several 1 and 2 win seasons so I can't quit on them...but things could get really ugly in the next several weeks

Don't tell us what kind of a game we thought it would be. Now take your 3 in the morning and stick it.

Well it was against a D1AA team. And their line did push us around a good part of the game. This should be a reason for concern.

A win is a win, but my god that was not fun - the closeness of the game or reading this board melting down.
The only true consolation I can take from this is Kansas State, Iowa State, UConn and others didnt survive their upset bids by teams who, based on current rankings, are not as good as MSU.

Another game with almost 500 yards offense. The O is doing the job of moving the ball and giving the D a rest. Now need to score in the Red Zone. And we need the D to play all 4 quaters.
