Can I block my aircraft on FlightAware? (Back To Top)
Yes, there are two ways to accomplish this: FlightAware Selective (Un)blocking Enroll in FlightAware's selective unblocking service for a tail number that is not already blocked.
FlightAware can process your request with next-day service and will block your operations from the general public. Your FlightAware account(s) will continue to be able to securely view and track your aircraft. FlightAware will complete the paperwork necessary for blocking your aircraft on other flight tracking services and will provide you with everything you need to accomplish the block.
Blocking request through NBAA BARR The NBAA (National Business Aviation Association) operates and maintains the BARR (Blocked Aircraft Registration Request) in conjunction with the FAA. This service is free although it may take 30-45 days to take effect and will not allow your user account to track your aircraft on FlightAware unless you subscribe to FlightAware's selective unblocking service.
For us to submit your rqeuest, simply fax a letter on company letterhead to +1-713-887-9020 requesting that your aircraft be blocked by ASDI Vendors on the NBAA BARR list and include a copy of your aircraft registration.
Damn. Maybe the flight to Miami was a ruse. Just have them land there... and "stay" there.
What other tracking sites are out there

That's the job I want with Mr. Ford.
"Mark, get on the company plane. Have them take you to Miami. Stay there until you here back from me that it is clear to come home."
And your response would be like Charlie Sheen's when - while working on Wall Street - Oliver Stone asked Charlie to show up the next day "...wrecked. I want you closing down the bars tonight."
Sheen smiles, "Not a problem."

I've been away for a while. Apparently there was a big shooting at a Von Maur store in Omaha. Trying to get caught back up, but can someone give me a summary?
Do we know anything new other than the coaches meeting at Navy?

- GT Boards reporting the deal for PJ fell though, not enough money.
- News report that private plane owners can block their flight tracking information.
- The Purple Hippo spotted a man who bore a striking resemblance to Paul Johnson entering Ford a couple hours ago.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
I'm still TOTALLY unconvinced that GJF's plane is in Miami. I swear, it's perfect, pay the dough to hide your flight information, and make sure it happens in some random place. Miami.
Seriously, look back... when was the last time this plane sat for this long.
I'd put $100 on that pane NOT being in Miami.

Osborne and his guys did it at Nebraska. the plane they had been using was being tracked similarly to what we've been doing, and they paid their fee to be removed from the track list.
but why fly it to miami to do it. just pay the fee and leave it in BMI
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

To throw us a complete curve ball. Other wise we'd be holding candle light vigils hoping for the return of the plane.

But is it impossible?
No, just highly, highly improbable.

hs the plane been lost? im beginning to think they switched planes or paid the fee to not be on the website. if this is the case, i would like to thank the wonderful staff on the daily campus for their "efforts" in reading ponyfans and reporting everything they read regarding the plane search. it was a great idea to publish GJF's tail number on his private jet!
