apparently it requires a subscription but the Austin American Statesman had a couple of articles about how dominate the Hutto offensive line has been all year including specifically Gonzales and how they were the dominating force in last week's victory over Cuero. Hutto ran for something like 295 yards on 51 carries against Cuero. Hutto bothered to throw the ball only 4 times all game. They won on a last minute FG and gobbled up 5 First Downs without a pass in the winning drive. BTW I noticed that Cuero sophmore Quincy Whittington-the nephew of Arthur Whittington-was named to the All District team as a KR and DB as a mere Sophmore-listed at 5-7 but it would be nice to get on him early.

well Hutto fell just short of the 3A State Championship losing 38-34 to 16-0 Carthage. But it looks like the Hutto offensive line lead by SMU commit Lee Gonzales opened up plenty of holes as Hutto had a fullback run for 216 yards.

Lee Gonzales finished off a great season by being named to the First Team All-Centex Team(all Divisions) by Texas Prep X-Tra. Jeremy Sanders, Denario Alexander and Gonzales were named to the First Team at the 3A Level.

Lee Gonzales was just named Second Team 3A All State by the Texas Sports Writers Association. Also Colin Jones who I've been assured we had zero interest in by Pony Fan was named First Team All State.
