I love the band too. But do not mic the band. They tried that last year and all you could hear was echo.

Bennett did say it was illegal what Baylor's band was doing. He complained to the ref's, and got a big bag of nothing.

so that means that the baylor band wasn't on the ball to havetheir uniforms ready for the first game of the year. even though every band to some degree, depending on the in flow of new recuits, have to alter their uniforms for the new season. so the bu band just wasn't ready and didn't plan ahead.

Is this really the rule? How stupidly written. In the broad since of this rule, if fans get too loud, a 15 yard penalty can be imposed. Maybe this is why SMU fans stay quiet. We don't want a 15 yarder.

No, this doesn't apply to fans. If you look at the referenced rule, 1-1-6, it defines "persons subject to the rules" as players, coaches, uniformed band and cheerleaders.

There you go! That's why the Baylor band got away with it, they weren't in uniform!!

That explains it. Since the Baylor Band was in T-Shirts and Khaki's, they were not considered a uniformed band.

It is all clear now.

As much as I can't stand the Aggies, I'd like to see 'em try that stunt at Kyle Field

The Baylor Band does that all the time when they are at Kyle Field.

So it appears that the Queen theme that Baylor is throwing down may be based in fact if the Fat Bottom Girls uniforms did not fit and there were a good number of FAT bottomed girls out there in that band. Maybe the new Baylor band outfits will be green and gold mumu's.

If it makes you feel better, the BUGWB had their new uniforms Saturday at the home opener.
