2 wins would be considered a big turnaround for this team

0-1 after week one.

Sorry you know I couldn't resist.

Seriously I hope you guys make a bowl this year and make some noise in C-USA but we at Texas State have the same kind of expectations as many of you, if we win we are pleasantly surprised.

5 wins in 2008

5-7 feels about right for 2008. Anything more and the Mustang Mania will run wild.

Ponys win 8!

Post by BuckeyeBoy »

I will say 8, I think with Savior Jones, Willis and Sanders will have a year the Hilltop hasnt seen in MANY MANY MANY years. Although I am a Buckeye fan thru and thru, Ive bought into this, SMU is on the rise and Im glad to have SMU as the closest D-1 school to me, so when SMU opens up the 2009 season in the top 25 I can say I was on the bandwagon b4 it started :D PONY UP!!!

A lot of my non-SMU friends are actually excited about going to football and basketball games in the future. Friends that never even considered it in the past. Pretty cool.

Fear not, fellow SMU fans. Hawaii was 0-12 before JJ took over. That season we ended up 9-4 with an Aloha bowl win.

I think a 7-5 regular season record would be possible. At least between 5 and 7 wins this season.

Just believe! 8)

we got a sunshiner here...many of us have believed for decades and when we were expected to have a good season, it ends up down the drain like every season since Cavans best year

After an 1-11 season, there is only one way but up. At least 5 wins. Thats the least amount of wins that JJ had at Hawaii.

SMU pays JJ $2 million a year. That is serious money. A 5-7 or 7-5 season is realistic. That would be enough to get excited about. I doubt that any of SMU's previous head coaches made that much pesos. JJ got paid chicken feed at Hawaii.

Just believe! 8)

First win, I exhale

Second win, my sphinkter relaxes

Third win, I crack a smile

Fourth win, I crack a beer

Fifth win, I start calling fellow alums

Sixth win, I start making bowl plans

Seventh win, I start getting non SMU alums on the wagon

Eight win, I explode

You gotta believe!
