There were some key people involved in game production/presentation that were questioning the use of the geldings as it pertained to the rest of the year. Orsini told them that the geldings' one appearance this year would be at the Navy game, and they would not be on the field again this year. They won't put the geldings on the field with Peruna. If the geldings are on the field, Peruna won't be. It's that simple. They know what will happen. They led Peruna up the tunnel and around the corner during halftime of the Navy game so that he wouldn't see the geldings.
