Thad, I know 40 people have already said this but I will be the 41st:

This film looks AWESOME! Not only did I get goose bumps, but I also started to well up a bit during the thing and this is only a TRAILER! I hope this thing gets national exposure because it is a great story. June Jones is here to stay and we are on our way back. This season will be the one that everyone is going to point to as the start of the resurrection of the program.

I feel enormously blessed that I got to go to three games this year even if I didnt get to be there for UTEP or Tulane (SFA, ECU and Rice. I think I sat behind redpony for the Rice game because we talked about how watching it on all-access kinda sucks and he talked about how great it was to be there after coming all the way up from Peru). But I have 3 friends who were there for the UTEP game so I can relive that one vicariously. I was watching it on all-access and I had many moments where I jumped out of my seat, the chair at my desk falling over, probably p!ssing off my neighbors below me. But it had to pale in comparison to being there in person. I do regret not getting my backside up to Dallas to be there for that game but then again, life's a technical term for a female dog and my present duties kept me in San Antone.

I will bookmark the trailer on youtube or wherever it is so I can watch it to lift my spirits when I'm having a rough day.

Go Ponies and let's win this bowl game. Many people have it chalked up to a loss but I personally want this one! I've seen WAY too many losses to not be hungry for a win every time the Ponies take the field, and this is from a guy who was about 4 years old when the Death Penalty went down. I have no conscious memories of the pre-Death Penalty SMU Mustangs. In fact I didn't even get into sports, let alone SMU Sports, until I was about 8 years old. But I want this one, BAD! It's going to be on ESPN, national TV, baby!

Bring on Nevada, Hawaii, Fresno, I DON'T CARE!!!

I hate watching trailers, so I held off watching it until today. I had hoped to wait to see the full movie. But I am really glad I finally watched it. Put me down as #43! Great work, guys!

I want to see more!

Can't tell you how many times I've watched this trailer--still gives me goosebumps--my grandfather grew up playing football against Forrest Gregg--he's a straight-shooter, says it like it is, and it looks like there's some great interview material from him--hope to see this become a successful independent film / ESPN feature!

(also, I want some people to dig up some stuff on the Texas Exes! not to be vindictive...and if they really didn't do anything, fine [though I don't believe it]...but to show the kind of favoritism that arguably existed then, and arguably still exists, in the NCAA's decisional processes, would give this film an added dimension...also might want to go into the Alabama violations [high-school coach getting paid $115,000 to swing a player Tuscaloosa's way, etc.] a few years ago to show how the NCAA really won't do this again [unless it's a mid-major program without a huge TV market!])

At any rate, Great Work. Can't wait to see the whole thing.

Thad,

I was filmed during the Tulane game.

Please don't leave my acting career on the editing floor.

Oh, and count me among the many who can't wait to see this movie.

I really hope this will be available on DVD so that we can purchase it for 'great memories'.

Kent D.- Yes that was me that you talked to. My bad that I didn't introduce myself. I really enjoyed my visit to Dallas. Met Dave Delay at the coaches luncheon after the Tulsa game. Great guy and it is really super to have a person with his enthusiasm doing the announcing. Also met Bus and some of the others at the coaches luncheon after the Rice game. All of the people at the luncheons etc. are real class people- great representatives of our university.

GO PONIES!!!

I want to see the whole film...preferably as part of the pregame on Christmas eve. This trailer gets me jacked for this bowl game and for the rebirth of SMU football

After watching "The U" tonight I see some real potential for this.

I loved the line from Corben (the filmmaker) at the beginning - "In the 1970s no one cared about University of Miami football...by the 1980s they were Miami's team".

There is NO reason we can't be that team (less the uh, "issues", they dealt with...)

We get the death penalty, they get to play for a national championship -- yeah, that's fair.
