Why not be proactive, albeit behind the scenes, and let the major players know want you want and what you have to offer and what you are willing to bring and contribute to the conference! Find out what they want and then tell them what you are willing to do. Or stay where you are if not willing to pay the price. Or maybe form a conference with others who are like you....NT, UTEP, Tulane, Rice, LATech, Ark State, etc. How bad do you want it?
