Since he committed early hopefully there will be plenty of time for him to get academic requirements completed early. I'd bet that is part of the sales-job. The last think you want to happen is to sit behind the new 2013 starter -say Connor Preston and wait your turn if Preston is successful
Good point.

You may be on to something.

West, East..... Players at all positions....
I am beginning to think that Coach Klemm is really one of identical twins and just hasn't introduced his brother yet.

I'm beginning to think he's the recruiting coordinator.

South Carolina's fans are hot about this. They are wondering why they can't get a big QB commitment.

We've got to do everything in our power to keep Klemm. He's just as important, if not more, than the people he's recruiting.

I realize that money and fame are great desires but I think that Klemm has a very strong loyalty to June Jones. In my opinion if we can keep him satisfied with an honest income reflective of the work he is doing, he is not going to bolt. Jones will not be at SMU forever and when he goes Klemm will most likely reap the benefits of a great program somewhere if he is not in a position to stay here. But for now, my worries are not as great as the ones that others may have.

I just read that article and thought the same thing. Very good to hear that he will be enrolling early. It also pretty crazy that we got him over NC State considering he has a HS teammate already committed there.

I really wish I had your positive outlook but someone as motivated as Klemm is not going to sit around for an "honest income"...He should be compensated for the amount/quality of work he's putting in. A new job title I'm sure would be fine to go along with that honest income. He needs to know that he is our coach of the future or he is gone within a couple years for bigger and better things. He will not continue to turn down job offers year after year. You think USC, UCLA, Oregon, don't realize he could probably recruit a little better by just sitting in their offices?

He was an unemployed 30-something with more money than he knew what to do with, living in Scottsdale, when June offered him a GA position four years ago. Not like he's been a hot commodity and we stole him. He's got a long way to go before he makes it big time. Not trying to take anything away from the awesome success he has had at smu, but he's been on our radar longer than other school's.
