Air Force is not a likely target. SMU is.

But I am poor, don't know what it says inside.

If I get more subscribers, I will email the Big east and put in a good word for you

ericdickerson4life wrote:OK so they are currently at 8. TCU is not coming so that doesn't change anything. Syracuse and Pitt are bolting to the ACC. BE then is down to 6. If they want to get to 12 that means they have to add 6. if we are 5th or 6th pick we are in, right? Or are they talking about getting to 12 before the defections and then sit at 10?

Mizzou is expected to make a play for the SEC. If that happens, that is going to seriously hurt the Big XII and their TV contract - Mizzou makes up somthing like 15-20% of their viewing audience.

So the Big XII will be forced to expand to bring in another TV market. They will make another play for BYU, but if that fails, expect them to look seriously at Cincy or Louisville, maybe even both, so the Big XII is still expected to lose another team or two.

That could leave them at four, and UConn and Rutgers are now on the phone 24-7 with anybody at the ACC or the Big 10 who will listen, BEGGING for a spot.

I know we want in a BCS conference. I know that. But our admin had better think long and hard before jumping into that mess. It would help it the SEC figured out fast who the 14th school is, whoever they decide on, so there is some sort of idea of what we are dealing with in the Big East and Big XII.

Why was Orsini willing to be quoted in the DMN?

If AFA is not a target, their AD must be feeling pretty stupid for apologizing to the other MWC members for leaving.

I am curious to see how the SEC votes regarding the matter of Missouri. Missouri has made it known that they would happily leave for the Big 10 at any moment, and one would think that may make the SEC presidents wary of adding them. If the SEC adds Missouri, knowing their long-term intent to leave, it gives the Big 10 the ability to prove itself the dominant conference by raiding another that would also lay claim to the title.

Missouri offers short-term gain, but will eventually leave, and perhaps take some of the SEC's prestige with it.

Ok, pretend we get invited to the BE as a football only member, the BCS contract comes up in a couple of years and the BE is determend to be to weak of a conference to stay in the game, I assume the BCS can keep or delete a conference if they want to. What happens then? Back to CUSA or go to the MWC?
