i think we go Big East in some form, the issue is if Boise says no, or the academies, and WVU and Louisville get plucked, whats left is not gonna be AQ even if it includes the good market Florida and Texas schools. Might end up being a small upgrade for SMU football and perhaps a large one for basketball. The whole thing is still so up for grabs.

just so you guys know, twitter is not reliable for anything. beat writers use it for speculation now so that if something DOES eventually fan out, they can say they were first to report.

My favorite twitter post of the day said:

Why is everyone so concerned that Boise State isn't in the East? What about the fact that Boise isn't a state?

 i do wonder how long Boise can sustain itself. Beyond Kellen? Can they hold onto Petersen?

I was thinking the same thing, Hoop. Once Kellen leaves I think they will go down some. Maybe not a lot but that guy is really special.

Maybe the Big East will just keep them for their previous rankings to renew their BCS standing and when things start to go south Temple them.

Like I said in another thread, SMU, UH, UCF, and USF makes for a great nucleus!

Agreed, this allows us to finally shed Rice and for that matter, Tulane.

We had a great run with Rice, but their lack of commitment ultimately did them in.

Worse to worst, WE get to cherry pick who we want (SoMiss) rather than the other way around, as has been the case for us since the breakup of SWC.

Boise beat OU in a BCS bowl before Kellen. Kellen is a good QB. He isn't the one that is special its peterson.
