From the front page of Scout today: Recruit Marks says: "Wherever (June Jones) goes, we'll go"
Marks said that if Jones decides to leave SMU, he and other recruits will follow him.

Exactly. Interview all you want, but do it on your time.

Surely he could have waited another day until after the recruits have all left.

With the changes that orsini and rgt have pushed for in the last 4 years, we will be fine going forward.

Gotta strike while the iron's hot. Again, it's terrible timing, but that's the way things work- not JJ's fault or anyone else's. ASU likely wouldn't wait until after bowl game for JJ to make a decision like SMU did when he was at Hawaii.

JJ made that decision pre-bowl

ECM, I am not talking about after a bowl game I'm talking about waiting until the next day. At least have enough respect to do that. The iron would still be hot 24 hours later and the recruits would not be on campus.

Right, but I doubt ASU would sacrifice valuable recruiting time/pressure from boosters to hold off on coaching hire like SMU did with June.

Where is the SMU loyalty?...he was clear when he left Hawaii that it was NOT to be leaked so as not to harm Hawaii. Why isn't he demanding the same secrecy here and why not interview on MONDAY, after the recruits have left?

You don't think they would hold off 1 or 2 days?

If all of the reports are true about the ASU visit, the timing is a total flip of the middle finger to SMU.

Well, if they're interviewing Fedora or Kirby Smart or some other candidate, you've got to get your face in front of them when you can. Look, I'd hate to lose JJ and it wouldn't be good for SMU at ALL- but this is what you have to expect when you achieve a level of success as a CUSA school.

Why bother? Those recruits committed to him, might as well gauge their reaction to a possible move to ASU while they're all together. Marks said the recruits will follow June, doesn't seem like this spoiled June's recruiting weekend.

Only reason he got interview is because his agent is on asu search committee.

He did this for leverage, asu won't pay him more than us and they don't even want them. He basically tried to hold us hostage during a very important weekend...

But that's ok b/c we exceeded east coast's expectations of 6-6 this year
