It's gonna take 9 wins to win the Big East championship. You gonna get one of them in Boise, Idaho in November trying to throw the ball every down?
Worked for Cincy, WVU won the Big East this year with a pass heavy spread. Just need the right coach to run it. This has nothing to do with the Big 10.

Former Fresno Coach Pat Hill. You know he won't look for another job in year 4, after spending 15 years at Fresno. He was fired after his 2nd losing in 15 years at Fresno, although the last couple of years at Fresno the program was starting to stagnate. He would also be alot cheaper than the "JJ the lei."

You are right about NOT being a service academy, you are a university which is 0 for 2 in your last 2 games vs service academies. SMU should have spanked Army but they didn't show up. Maybe I'm nuts but I bet you guys would love the triple option if you won almost every Saturday running it. Navy beat Notre Dame 3 straight years with that offense. Navy for crap sakes. I know Notre Dame isn't what they used to be but seriously 3 straight losses to Navy? Run the ball well, block well, tackle well and don't take a lot of penalties and what usually happens? Kenny gets all his kids from Texas and if he keeps beatin' Army I bet our top brass will make the likes of me salute him when I see him.

Georgia Tech is doing pretty good running the ball. I'm OK with any offense as long as we win.
Bring on the single wing. Bring on the Lonesome Polecat.

We're 0-5 in our last 5 against service academies. Still no reason to go out and copy them by running some dated offense that won't attract any high quality recruits. It would be fine to see some limited option as apart of a multiple attack but not as the whole offense. We're about to be an AQ team and we need to start acting like it.

MnB- IMO a bit part of the difference between us and Navy is the fact that those guys are military and as such are very disciplined. They also have a much different mentality than the average college player. I believe that is one of the reasons that they are so successful.
GO PONIES!!!

Mark Hamill. We could get every 10-35 year old nerds to attend games with multiple Star Wars give-aways. The Boulevard would be the new Tattooine.

HC: Sherman
DC: Try to keep Mason. If he goes with Jones, hire MicMakin.
OC: Try for Rossley. If not, Turner Gill?
I bet if we work hard enough we can keep most of our defensive coaches and possibly ST.

Can we use June's contract buyout to build a new IPF, or use it to lure an OC away from a big name program. Applewhite from UT?

Red, just in case you hadn't figured it out yet, I'm in the Military. 11 years enlisted. First Class Petty officer in the Navy. My only college was 2 years at Ferris State. And Navy Football was a JOKE for decades even with the finest of our nation. You bring a guy that can lead young men, the kind of young men that the top people at SMU ACTUALLY wants to represent your university and win, you wouldn't need to worry about average college players. Sure some of Kenny's kids will go on to be distinguished officers in the Navy and Marine Corps but they all won't, most will end up being regular people. Leadership is leadership and Ken Niumatalolo is a leader.

Applewhite will stay at UT, nobody willingly leaves UT. He will probably takeover Browns position in the future.

Thats probably our best short term solution, just to hold the trend in a small positive slope.
