Agree...Going to need someone like that....but I dont think JJ will take anyone remotely threatening onto his staff...

He loves being big man on campus...

Marks, Myers, Moreland, Holloway, harper, palachio...pretty much all of our recruits who have other BCS offers...

Well I guess we are going to find out once and for all whether they are coming to play for the Master Inventor of the Passing Game or whether recruiting relationships seal the deal. My prediction almost all California recruits bail on the Messiah

Yep, and Myers is a Texas kid and I think he might be gone as well. They will probably replace them with a bunch of margin 2 or low 3 star kids and say that they are even better than the ones that left. That might be how they try to spin it.

Recruiting co-ord position will be harder to replace than OL coach.

Per the tweets, June told everybody not to believe everything they read on the internet.

That's OK, June. I don't believe anything you say.

So that cancels everything out.

Thanks.

To the go-along get-along crowd, it didn't appear as if there was going to be a Q&A. It appeared that this was so controlled, that meant opponents were going to be quashed.

June Jones -- the man who single-handidly did more to hurt SMU football than Ken Pye.

Yes, he seemed willing to take any questions and be there as long as needed. Give him credit for that. Lots of spin, but what do you expect. Think it was worthwhile.

It was an open meeting. You could ask what you want. I asked my question.

OK, thanks. I'm 1,000 miles away and going off the tweets. I stand corrected.

I guess if one defines an offer as a final agreement then perhaps he never had one.

I guess if you think that missing in home visits with four star players is not impacting recruiting and exposing your top recruiter to other schools (as a selling point) and then losing him - does not affect recruiting, then yeah, no recruiting impact. I guess as long as you have 25 commits (of whatever quality) then no impact.

You had a good question Tread. I don't think it was much spin (a little be here an there). I just don't think there is anything to see. JJ setting us up for AK's departure was perhaps most notable part. Life will go on.

Thanks - wanted to go on a rant for gostang, but just couldn't do it. I thought others offered tough but fair questions. And there were those who offered support as well, and that is fine as well.

Not sure why, but there was a big crowd.

While losing this class would sting badly, perhaps the loss of AK would galvanize this staff to finally recruit Texas hard and get off their azzes. I wasn't at the luncheon, but sure seems like the JJ spin machine is on full cycle.

Spin it any way you want, but AK has single-handedly changed the profile of the typical SMU recruit. Just look at the offers from the kids that he has reeled into SMU. We are beating out high-level BCS programs. And I am too afraid to think about the current Klemm guys that might transfer like Levingston.

Maybe he thinks the conference will recruit for SMU.
I want Klemm too.
