We should welcome him to SMU but let's wait. I haven't heard anything official about his verbal commitment. Let's not jump the gun. Again, it should be a no-brainer but you never know with the outside noise and influence some of these kids get.

About time, he was going to choose SMU anyway so this gives NTCC plenty of time to line up a replacement.

Better is debatable, their new OL commit only had another offer from someplace called Louisiana-Monroe. Sounds like they knew they were going to lose Walling so they lined up someone they had no real competition for.

Well, considering this is your second post, there are 2 possible options in my mind. You are either a troll or have inside information. Either way, we should wait to hear the official news as I haven't seen anything that says he doesn't have an offer still. I'm not sure Unt is really in a position to cherry pick as you're saying either. I can't even believe we're competing with unt for recruits. sigh.

at this point, we need quality guys that can play O-line. This guys could possibly come in and start for 3 or 4 years after a redshirt. heck, we need bodies so he may not evern redshirt!

I was told that he still has the UNT offer and that the UNT coaches are at Walling house for a visit right now.

Good player at a position of need. Could easily be a four year starter for us.

Yeah really great considering they had already pulled his offer anyway and given it to someone else. The only reason this was never in doubt is because SMU was his only choice.
It shows he had 2 other offers as well.

UNT never pulled his offer (were recruiting him hard up until Walling rejected them).

I guess that is why they had two other OL committ before Walling committed to SMU, and reports were that they didn't consider him committed since he was still taking visits. Face it, we are taking UNT scraps with this one.[/quote]
He still held a UNT offer (that their coaching staff tried to solidify with an in-home visit this past week). They clearly wanted him even after he picked up the SMU offer and scheduled a visit.
