Here's another fact-he's listed at 5 pounds less than Darius Johnson in high school. I think SMU could find a place for the Los Angeles Times Player of the Year. He is the perfect June Jones Inside Receiver. Do you even have any basis for dismissing these recruits because there are a bunch of BCS Coaches that disagree with you.

Hulick was a 3 star, FYI.
Lewis has a good chance at becoming a solid player in college. All I have to go on is all the highlight tapes I watched of him from youtube and Rivals, but he reminds me a lot of DeAnthony Thomas from Oregon. If you have watched Thomas at all this season, he might be the most athletic player in the country pound for pound. His size as a high school senior? 5'9, 160lbs. Brandon Banks, former Kansas St WR and current Redskins return specialist, is 5'7 155lbs and in the NFL.
Thomas was a 5 star recruit and is obviously better than Lewis, but the similarities are there. Lewis seems to have that extra "gear" that you don't find in a lot of players. Time will tell, but I think Lewis is a fairly significant loss.

Stallion, I said he could probably help us, but he is just a 3*. I also said I haven't seen him play so I don't have that insight. I would have liked to had him. We are playing in CUSA. But, the one that hurts the most is Marks.

Can we please stop getting whipped into a frenzy over Rebecca Black "reporting" something we all knew over a month ago?

fiji43, you may be right. I was going by UCLA's list on Scout.

He is rated a 5.7 equal to our highest rated recruit if that matters. Here's the deal I said when Darius Johnson committed. He maybe a 3 star recruit to some BCS schools that need tall Receivers to run their offense but in SMU Offense he is a 5 star recruit-OK 4 star. When I watched Darius Johnson in high school I saw the best wide receiver for SMU in the State of Texas. Lewis is similiar. He is exactly what June wants at that position. BTW he is still considering SMU should there maybe a small chance you have to back track

Stallion, No back track. I said we could probably use him. He probably is GREAT. But to play in the big leagues like we once did WE NEED 4 and 5 stars. I hope he does well. I think he would have done 'weller' at SMU playing CUSA and BE than PAC12. I don't see where that's so terrible. Let me as you...would you rather have Lewis or Marks? I take Marks any day!
