I think only SMU fans have no excuse for leaving at halftime, other fanbases excuses for leaving at halftime are completely justified (they're too hot, they're too cold, they're bored, the fans in their section are annoying, the cell reception in the stadium is bad, they want to do something else, the stadium doesn't have their favorite soda, etc).

Right. Go check records of Robert Merrill the RB from Taft HS few years back, the current DB from Jay HS down here and others who similarly got admitted. I'm not a TCU hater, and think they are better than most of Big 12 at taking kids who can actually go to class, but to say no special admits is simply not true.
