I just hope we can do better in recruiting skilled position players.

I want the LA tech coach. I can only dream about what a coach like him would do with our program, facilities and resources. Unfortunately, I don't think Turner or Hart will do anything about Jones.

Dykes' salary is $750k annually. I cringe at how much is paid for Jones.

JJ is over 2 million, I believe. I would think Arkansas makes a run at Sonny Dykes

If we are shopping for coaches, then I think we should look at Chad Morris. He is the OC at Clemson and has had one of the top offenses for the past few years. In 2008 he was the head coach at Lake Travis High School, where his qb, Garrett Gilbert, broke a majority of the state passing records. Morris coached high school in Texas for a long time, so he knows the recruiting landscape pretty well. Just food for thought.

Probably to many Texas connections to qualify for SMU HC.

That would be a solid hire. It almost makes too much sense.

June is the main reason the program has been resurrected. He is legendary and well liked and respected by those that know him so he is an incredible asset to SMU and Dallas The hard part is he is at the age and part of his career where he needs to evaluate what is best for the program.Too with the latest on concussions and people who have had serious accidents in the past maybe it is time to evaluate people as they get into their 50's as to brain function and their cognitive ability. No disrespect but seems we are finding out so much in the last few years in this area. Hopefully he will ask those closest to him and others outside the program to give him an honest opinion and he will heed the advice. His strong point is the organizational skills and putting a staff together who can teach. The bad part is he is hanging on when it comes to his outdated offense and is hurting the team.To not have a wildcat are plays to run the ball when you have first and goal on the one is shocking. Hopefully someone will give him the Sports Illustrated article on the great Notre Dame LB from Hawaii who explains what Kelly is doing to resurrect and attract top players after Weiss disaster. One particular quote is that Weiss and staff were treating players as if they were in the NFL with no togetherness while Kelly is treating them as college athletes and a part of the university...college football is supposed to be fun, not living off campus and just showing up for practice each day. They should be doing a much better job recruiting Texas high school players to SMU and all the university and city of Dallas have to offer. No way TCU should have walkons starting and playing against us when they could be on scholarship starting for us.

The June love is crazy. He did well here and had marginal pro success when Mouse wasn't around. Respectable but not exactly Larry Brown

Very marginal pro success as I believe he has a winning percentage of around 33%................0
