They just need to pile in there. Tight is fine. No need to make it bigger in area in my view. And good mix between the band and recorded music I thought.

Geez, how much closer does the band have to be?
So they're not actually on the floor. Big deal. They're in the coveted lower bowl, and they occupy a section from top to bottom.
And 35 seats is plenty in a small arena like Moody. When more than that shows up, it's too loud. Yes, I said it. TOO LOUD.
College basketball is supposed to have a pep band, not a 70-member band that blows out ear drums. It's supposed to fire up the crowd, not overwhelm it with jet-engine blasts. A band of 50-plus in arena of less than 10,000 is overkill.
God Bless the Mustang Band, but their seating in the new configuration is hardly a travesty.

I have a question. The band seemed to be alumni on Saturday, I guess because the school is not in session. They looked and sounded great btw. This raises a couple of questions. What steps are going to be taken to ensure that the 35 or however many band seats are actually occupied by musicians every game?

That's only one question.

what steps? I would say alternating left, then right, until thirty five of them are in there.

Some current band members came back and played. It was about 60/40 old guys. I think that's why they wore the hats-so they could cover their bald heads

And I'm not exactly sure what you are asking. Are we talking about keeping other students out or getting enough band members there? (the latter won't be a problem)
