When is the last time SMU won a NC either individual or otherwise? I should know but can't muster the memory?

I was wondering the same thing. It's In the press release...

"DeChambeau is SMU's first individual NCAA champion in any sport since women's swimmer Flavia Rigamonti won the 1,650-meter freestyle national title in 2005."

Thanks - didn't read the press release, but have read and watched golf media on it. 10 years is a long time, but I was almost sure it had been longer.

He seems to be a very interesting guy. Evidently, he cut all his clubs to the same hight - 37 inches (the same as his 7 iron). Also, he doesn't have the iron numbers on his clubs, just the lofts.

Very wild. I am not much of a golfer, but I have never heard of any golfer using the same length for all the irons - would have thought that might effect the distance of each club, but evidently not. It obviously works for him. That is kind of mad scientist sort of stuff. Wonder if he did his own work in his garage.

Awesome. Nice to see another SMU student from my hometown represent the school so well. Congratulations.
