If that team that played tonight shows up for each of the games left, we could very well win 6 or 7. However, I called 4 wins and am sticking to it. I hope we beat Tulane and then Memphis will tell the tale - maybe we get lucky and pick up one more.

I thought 5 wins and am still hopeful. It would be great to get to 6 or more and make it to a bowl game.

I just wanted year over year improvement and with last night's win against Houston, these guys have accomplished that. I consider it a bonus that their 3rd win came against an in-state conference rival. Definitely a plus for recruiting!
I'm going to be cautiously optimistic that our guys can find more wins on this year's schedule but it won't be easy. Tulane and ECU look like lower level AAC teams but those are road games and our remaining home games are against teams that might all be better than Houston. Let's just hope we can beat Tulane to set up a really interesting "revenge" game for Homecoming against Memphis!

If we can avoid a letdown on the road next week, the season is effectively re-set with four to go. Winning two out of those last four is difficult, but with a few breaks attainable. A huge shift in perception from 14 (and 2) days ago.

Thank you I put a lot of time and effort into it. Public acknowledgement really makes my day better.

While making it to a bowl would in itself be a huge achievement this season, the real benefit would be the extra two weeks of practice that come with such an invitation. For a young team on the rise two additional weeks of training between the end of the regular season and spring practice can be huge.

You saw the significant improvement with the bye week... indeed, extra practice is huge, especially for the frosh who are being redshirted.

Please pass on to Gary during practice that after you make a big sack AT HOME, you do not give the "hush" signal with your finger to your lips.

Extra practice? How about extra rest.

Sure. But for the younger players it was time to work on improving fundamentals instead of just preparing for the next game.
