AAC has to have the final game end a day or two before the seeding announcements, not 1 hour before. the committee isn't going to move the needle under such short time frame and will just add AAC champion complains to the pile of other team complaints. Moving SMU from a 6 seed to a 5 seed isn't worth the effort to the committee.

As long as no one from the conference is on the committee this is what you get. Criteria change to benefit those they represent.
Drain the swamp.

Baylor should be pissed. Assuming we both win in the first round, they would face a team ranked above them in the AP in the 2nd round.

Maybe we should be pissed. If we make it past our first game we will be facing a team ranked #1 during the season in the next round.

But then again, you have to love the challenge of playing against the best. All we have to do is beat either Providence or USC, then Baylor in Tulsa and most likely Duke and Villanova in NY and it's on to the Final Four. If this team is worthy of playing with and beating the best, they've been given a wonderful opportunity to prove their case. For now, this seeding is providing a wonderful fantasy for me in terms of thinking what this SMU basketball season might become

I am fine with the set up. Ready to put Sterling on Allen.

Sterling would need to be on Kennard if we get to that point. Kennard is clearly the better player.

Yea I wouldn't want Sterling on Allen because if and when Allen freaks out Sterling is our player most likely not respond well and get kicked out. Put Shake or Jerray on him, and tell them to talk a lot of trash to that kid until he freaks out and then don't retaliate.

Agreed. And If Allen tried to trip or kick Sterling, oh boy... may god have mercy on his soul.

Sterling would get deep in his head very early in the game. I believe Allen would be the one getting kicked out.

If SMU hoops really wants to be relevant long term then that kinda thinking can no longer be "fantasy."

Onward and upward.
