Time will tell whether Morris is going to find success in the SEC West. It is interesting to see how many people follow both our former players and coaches for different reasons...some hoping they fail and others hoping they succeed. We should probably have a couple of threads...one for former coaches and another for former players. I expect those would become as popular as the burger wars thread.
I personally have no problem with Chad Morris and wish him well. I have appreciated all of our former coaches, including JJ, for what they did for SMU, although it hurt that JJ quit on the job before he actually quit. JJ took a program in ruins and brought it back to a respectable level before he burned out. Chad did the same and parlayed that effort into a better job. That's just managing your career well and isn't that what every working person tries to do? Beyond Chad's initial recruiting class, I will be interested to see whether he can field a more competitive team with the former coaches' players, although I don't know Arkansas' roster to know how many key seniors they lost from last year's team.

Biggest surprise is that they have not yet blamed it on officials but I would think they are still trying to figure out how to work that in.
Did stallion write it...then provide the first five comments and positive reviews?

Is Travis Bickle Mrydel's troll account?

The only hope for the hapless Hogs is to switch to a less competitive conference. Otherwise get used to the bottom feeder status. I'm thinking American Athletic, Sunbelt or even Big 12 (4 previous SWC teams).

Haha. I am not sharp enough to handle Travis Bickle postings.
Plus I am not smart enough to be able to set up a troll account.

All of Arky's basketball success was in the SWC afterglow. Once Nolan Richardson left and they settled into the SEC they haven't done anything remarkable.
They have won tournament games though!

Maybe I am naive, but I think a national championship kind of ranks up there as a pretty good accomplishment.

Yes, in basketball.
