Crazy that it’s a one possession game given how poorly the team has played save for McMurray.
We should still best ECU and USF, but no guarantee. Especially since both are away.Charleston Pony wrote:great effort by our guys and a much more entertaining game than I had expected but the reality is that this SMU team may not win another game this season. Hello to a 15-17 finish?

Don't bet on beating ECU at their place unless we have 8 guys. They are much improved and won at Tulane last nightSMU Section F wrote:We should still best ECU and USF, but no guarantee. This is disappointing - Gu played his [deleted] off with one hand. Most guys would not have played at all, especially as we now have little to play for. But instead, he went out and played again despite the limitations he's dealing with due to injury. AND, he basically once again played the 4, as he has since Foster went down. The guy is a two guard playing power forward but does it for the good of the team, banging down low with guys five inches taller who obviously outweigh him. Not sure if he will get any opportunities to play overseas, but if not this also is marking the end of his career. But instead of being selfish he's filling the role that we literally have no one else that can fill and busts his [deleted] while doing. Sleep walking? Give me a break - he deserves an ovation every time he takes the court.Charleston Pony wrote:Agau and Gu are pulling down boards but otherwise look like they are sleep walking through this game. Some horrible passing from Agau in particular tonight. Really need a low post presence against this zone but it's just not there
Agau was completely gassed last night - you could see it towards end of first half especially, that he just had little left in the tank. Was fortunate Ethan could play in the 2nd half otherwise not sure what the heck Jank would have done. Jank mentioned after Cincy that he didn't want to play him as much as he did but had no choice, and he was worried if he would be able to bounceback.JasonB wrote:The comment about Agau - he is not one of the 3 healthy players that Jank refers to.
Agreed - obviously he could not shoot. He passed up a ton of open looks that he usually would have popped from three. He was out there to pass the ball and rebound. And he played with a lot of heart and courage. Like a guy who has 2-3 games left in his college career. I will be there on Senior Day regardless of record to pay tribute to Ben and Shake for sure.RI Stang wrote:This is disappointing - Gu played his [deleted] off with one hand.
