Also, we got a Vitale mention:
TEAM OF THE WEEK: SMU. The Mustangs moved to 4-0 with a win at Dayton.
It was good week - hopefully we can keep the momentum going!
Where are all the ΓÇ£haters?ΓÇ¥ I guess over at 247 critiquing and second guessing everything that happened in a good road victory. (I cancelled my subscription because of them. They can’t be happy if they can’t find something or someone to rag on.) We have a pretty good team that can be even better if we’re fortunate enough to get two important players back soon. Hopefully this team and coaching staff continues to gel. Pony Up!
They beat a good middle of the road team. I was happy for the players, less so for the coach. This team would be top 20 if LB were still here coaching and recruiting.
I figured there would be a few lemmings that stopped at the cliff. It’s funny that some posters can’t get themselves to be totally positive. There always has to be a qualified dig. Oh well.

Minor correction, we are tied for 40th in the AP poll.

And headed to probation again? Just root for the team. The seem like good guys who are playing hard.
Jankovich has made many mistakes and done much to anger our fanbase throughout his tenure at SMU but if he is engaged and gets us back on track there is no reason to not be happy or root against him. He has handled himself well and represented SMU well throughout his tenure. His incessant whining has been a little annoying but we have to recognize he was dealt a tough hand and is on track to turn it around.
Judge him by results. Expectations this year should now be to compete for a conference title and get in the NCAA tourney. He should be congratulated if those expectations are met, and he should be judged if they aren't.
