Easily the most lazy talentless basketball player to ever put on an SMU uniform. I wonΓÇÖt miss him or that stupid tattoo. Good riddance. DonΓÇÖt let the door hit you in the [deleted] on the way out.
A bit harsh for a guy who has been a solid contributor, but I do admit I'd like to have a 6'9" banger take his spot on the roster rather than jacking up threes on the perimeter. Will be interesting to see what he and others might do in a different uniform. Next year's team might really miss him
A solid contributor? Hey man we both want whatΓÇÖs best for our ponies and I know your heart is in the right place but Ethan Chargois contributed to nothing here except failure and consistently bad box scores. He went from an overrated and overweight waste of time to an overrated underweight waste of time who really never showed a damn thing here. If thatΓÇÖs too harsh then so be it.
Ethan had a unique skill set as a big that could shoot because of his late growth spurt.
The hope was that he would develop a low post game to go along with his shooting abilities, and it never happened. On top of that, his outside shooting effectiveness dropped when the NCAA extended the line.
He wasn't a great player by any stretch but describing him as a waste of time is way, way too harsh. He was an average to below average starter in the league, especially at the 5, but way above average as a piece off the bench as a stretch 4. It isn't his fault that we didn't have the pieces in place to play him at the right spot.
It looks like the college basketball world doesn't think much of our outgoing players. Aside from Tyson Jolly going to play for Rick Pitino, I'm not impressed with the other destinations. So far I think we have upgraded our talent. We just need some solid big men to compliment the roster.
Ethan was very good his freshman year, outstanding his sophomore year. Then he battled health issues and never returned to form. But even with that, he was still a solid contributor. I donΓÇÖt know where you get off trying to destroy the kid.
If K.D. comes back to steer this ship, the "mass exodus" might just prove to be a good thing. Going to be interesting, that's for sure. Still need to bring in a banger at the 4.
