Mac, Kelly & Austin are playing the Kentucky Championship in Nicholasville, KY with it's $4,000,000 purse while the big boys head off to play the Genesis Scottish Open as a prelude to The Open Championship. I remember 2019 when Kelly finished runner up at the Barbasol and he was also runner up at the Greenbrier in 2018 in the same general time frame so this has been a good time of year for him. Would be a huge confidence boost for any of these guys to pick up that 1st tour win regardless of the field and purse this week.

Both Austin and Mac finish 36 holes at nine under, T-31st but got there two very different ways. Mac Birdied his last 2 holes to escape the cut and Austin made bogey on 2 of his final 3 holes today. Both are chasing a leader who finished at 16 under bolstered by an opening round 11 under 61. Other players in the top 10 have fired rounds of 62, 63 & 64 so anything can happen this weekend

Moving day in KY and Austin fires a 5 under back nine, 6 under for the day and sits at minus 15, T-6th and 3 shots off the lead. Mac with another steady 4 under round gets to minus 13 and is T-19th. The new leader, Sam Bairstow was 10 under today so anything can happen in this event tomorrow

While Bryson struggled to a 5 over opening round at The Open Championship, Kelly and Mac are playing the Barracuda Championship in CA using a modified Stableford scoring system. Kelly rode 7 birdies and an eagle to a 1st round 17 points which has him alone in 2nd place at this point. Mac has 2 early birdies and 4 points thru the 1st 4 holes of his afternoon round. Meanwhile, Noah Goodwin is playing in the Korn Ferry event in Missouri and off to a decent start at 4 under thru 14 holes

Bryson misses the cut in Scotland but Mac fires an 8 under 63 to take the lead after 36 holes at the Barracuda Championship in California. Kelly has a few holes remaining but has blown up today with 4 bogeys and 2 doubles and is currently 2 shots off the cut line so it's not looking good for him. Noah Goodwin had back to back 5 under 67s and is sitting in a T-19th but only 4 shots off the lead at the Price Chopper event on the Korn Ferry Tour in Springfield, Missouri

Mac still leading the Barracuda and has 2 birdies and an eagle on his 1st 10 holes today

Noah with a 6 under 66 today moves to minus 16 for the event in Missouri and is T-5th

Is this the weekend one of our guys wins a tournament?

Noah Goodwin fires another 67 today to finish 21 under par and T-3rd at the Korn Ferry event in Missouri.

Mac Meissner still leads the Barracuda after completing a 3 under front nine today

Mac makes bogey at # 9 and then at # 13 and says goodbye to that 1st tour win but finishes 4th and earns $196k bringing his season earnings to $953k which puts him at # 106 on the money list

Noah's strong finish moves him to # 22 on the Korn Ferry list where he has now earned $226k on the season but more important is that the top 30 finishers on that tour become eligible for the PGA Tour next year.

With about 30 players still on the course and about 2 dozen ahead of our guys, Kelly finishes 54 holes at minus 7 and is currently 5 shots off the lead and T-24th. Mac is at minus 6 and T-32nd and Austin is at minus 3 and T-59th. Mac has improved by 2 shots each day after shooting 71, 69 & 67. Can he go lower and shoot 65 tomorrow? A couple of guys have shot 8 under 63s during this event
