Tech has just been taking the air out of the ball for 10 minutes w/o any real offensive sets-somehow they have made enough baskets for 3 point lead with 1:25

Tech actually forced a loose ball with 3 seconds picked up by a Kansas big man who threw it up and it bounced around twice and fell threw at 1.7 seconds

Watching the Utah St. @ SDSU game. San Diego State's arena provides a good example of why Moody is such a great place. The SDSU students are undoubtedly into the game and very enthusiastic, but it doesn't seem like their "rage" is nearly as focused as what the SMU students, along with the other fans, can manage at Moody. And Moody's student sections are split up and disorganized, albeit awesomely loud.

It would be interesting where SMU would be in the standings this year if we were part of Big 12. I say right below KU and Iowa St. 3rd place?

My guess (and it is a total guess) would be right with Oklahoma in 4th or 5th place. I think we would beat anyone but Kansas (and maybe Iowa St.) the way we're playing at home, but we'd have a tougher overall road schedule to deal with and we haven't handled away games well thus far.

I hadn't looked at the Big 12 standings recently. It's hard to believe that Oklahoma St. has fallen so far, even with the Marcus Smart mess. I thought they were "for real" early in the season. Further proof that I have no idea what I'm talking about.

Kansas is obviously 1st at 11-2, then Texas is 9-4. I am pretty sure this year's team would give Texas a 20 point lashing at Moody and if no jinxing happens, we could have a chance to beat them in Austin. Next year's squad will be ridiculous, and if things keep going the way they are going, we could be in a good position to replace Louisville in our conference standings these next few years, and helps us plug that gap that Louisville takes with them to ACC. Who would believe that we were predicted to be the 9th team in the conference this year...thanks Larry.

I am overall pretty impressed at the AAC this year. It could turn out to be a legit bball conference with Cincy, Memphis, UConn, SMU at the helm.

All we need is that powerhouse Temple team to step up these next few years, since they historically have been good at bball. And also, if Temple could go ahead and not beat us ever again...that would be great.

If we thrash Texas in anything the ncaa would come crashing down

We will have a good team next year but Not necessarily ridiculous. That will depend on how we use the 2 scholarships that we have left to give this year.

You're in good company. Nobody picked them at 9th.
