considering a very mediocre Big 10 team wiped the floor with us...
A million weeks ago when we were carrying around some extra baggage perhaps.
True and I agree we are a much improved team...but I hope our AAC schedule hasn't given SMU fans an inflated value of this team. I REALLY hope both SMU and Cincy can advance to the Sweet 16 because that's what it is going to take to earn respect for this conference. With the exception of UConn's National Championship and our NIT run, the AAC has performed very poorly in the post season

Wasn't Louisville in the AAC when they won the tournament in 2013?

Louisville was the defending NCAA champion when they were in the American. UConn won that season.

I think Louisville did go to the elite 8 that year UCONN won though.

Ah yes, 2014. The halcyon days of AAC hoops. AAC teams won both the men's and woman's NCAA, and the women's NIT. And of course, an AAC team made it to the finals of the men's NIT. Would love to see some more post-season success for the conference. Not necessarily 2014, but at least some wins in the tourney.

8, 10, 12 & 13 lost this week. All but 10 were to unranked teams.

I agree with this sentiment. Yesterday was amazing and Jank was right when he said it couldn't have been scripted any better, but I liked it better when we were under the radar. Memphis was dog meat yesterday and we took advantage, but I worry about inflated perception.

Don't discount how important it is to be playing with confidence.

What about inflated perception worries you?
