None of top 25 matters but ego. We are not going to get better than 5 and most likely a 6. The thing to want is that they keep playing at the high level at which they have performed ever since the Tulane scare that seems to have livened them up to another level.

True and I agree we are a much improved team...but I hope our AAC schedule hasn't given SMU fans an inflated value of this team. I REALLY hope both SMU and Cincy can advance to the Sweet 16 because that's what it is going to take to earn respect for this conference. With the exception of UConn's National Championship and our NIT run, the AAC has performed very poorly in the post season
I agree with this sentiment. Yesterday was amazing and Jank was right when he said it couldn't have been scripted any better, but I liked it better when we were under the radar. Memphis was dog meat yesterday and we took advantage, but I worry about inflated perception.
What about inflated perception worries you?
As a long time Mustang fan I'm required to worry, but what I mean is I want this team going to the dance overlooked and keeping a chip on their shoulder. It's not a big worry because this team is very mature, but I want to shock the world this year.

Cormac Gordon dropped us from his poll this week for "piling on points" on obviously inferior teams!

It does matter in recruiting. It's a big deal.

A sweet 16 appearance is an even bigger deal; let's hope this team is worthy of it's ranking

I agree but arguing 12 vs 11 or whether we deserve higher than X is no big deal.

I just want sustainability. I hope we are in a similar mindset next year. Love any top 10 vote. Have to imagine a 40+ win over memphis will resonate

I will try my best to not get too upset when F$U jumps us but I know they will.
We will be in a great spot though nice to see the recognition. The media really does seem to love us which is great considering how much the NCAA hates us hahaha
