It was probably cheaper than the cost of a head shrinker telling you to be calm over the next 6 years and 2 sessions a week before you are able to cut back to 1 session a week for the rest of your life.

The trashed hotel room WAS the anger management. It prevented a homicide.
I guess you could count that as good theraputic progress then.

BURGER ALERT

This burger will not win the "best burger" contest, but if you want a good cheap greaseball, huge burger, try the "Ultimate Burger" at Blue Star in Farmers Branch, on Webb Chapel right before Belt Line. If you order $5.00 or more, you get FREE BEER. And they serve breakfast all day, and they have goulash. I've yet to discover any negatives.

That place gets the fat man seal of approval!

You guys are so sheltered. Any Dallas burger list that does not include the legendary Keller's No. 5 Special is woefully incomplete. (I usually eat two, plus tater tots) And to include Jake's instead of Keller's proves you're missing the mark.

Keller's is the real deal - Jakes is the walk-in version built to serve Lake Highlands preppies who are afraid to hang with the bikers and regular people at Keller's. Raving about Jake's is like going ga-ga over Big Shucks and being unaware that Aw Shucks is the original location and has twice the atmosphere.

There used to be several Keller's locations, but the Northwest Highway spot is the only one left. Yes, you can drive-thru and buy beer by the case, just like Jakes! Gee, wonder where they got the idea? If you want to experience Dallas the way it was before the beautiful people took over, Keller's is a good start.

By the way, the Snuffer's burger is pretty darn good. It's the closest thing to the original Oldtimer burger served at the orginal Chili's at Meadow and Greenville. The current Oldtimer is a corporate-ized fraud (remember when they switched to Big Mouth Burgers?) that comes nowhere close the original Oldtimer that was so juicy you needed two fistfuls of napkins to eat it. If you're blasting Snuffer's burger, either you haven't been there in a long time or you're just plain biased. To each his own.

And who the hell orders a burger at Campisi's? I've lived in Dallas 40 years and this message board is the only place I've heard of anyone eating a burger at Campisi's. I didn't even realize it was on the menu.

Yep, think I covered that one.

Are you crazy? Snuffer's is not a good place to eat... anything! It USED to be an outstanding place to eat. Some of you folks rating the burgers need to review the definition of "great" in your Webster's. Some use it as loosley as Charlie Waters doing the commentary of a Cowboys game. (won't have to suffer through that again)

Perhaps you should give it a try some time along with their cottage fries. BTW, Campisi's has a hell of a good 16 oz steak too which you probably haven't had either.

What happened to Snuffer's? It's horrible now, was good. I wouldn't give their food to my brother in law's dog.

BurgerBoys concluded that the Snuffer's burger sucks.

Went to Fat Daddy's over the weekend. Wow. MUCH better than I remember from my only other visit. I don't even think it's because I had a bunch of beer in me before I arrived, although I'm sure that didn't hurt.

I ate there last weekend, too. My first visit to Fat Daddy's. Another top-notch burger is Cisco Grill (behind Bubba's) in Snider Plaza. In addition to an outstanding hamburger, cheeseburger, bacon burger - they offer a "Hilltop" burger (grilled onions). Their meat is the real deal. Place is for serious eating... cool, quiet, relaxing. If you're looking for the "entertainment factor", it's not your place.

(I also recommend the Uno Dos Tres and the Colorado Chicken - avoid the chicken strips... go to Bubba's for those).
