old fashioned has ice. manhattan is strained. as far as traditional recipes go, right?

simple syrup (sugar & water) vs. sweet vermouth. i really just don't like the martini glass, so i order a manhattan on the rocks.

oh, and if anyone gives you crap about drinking a manhattan out of a cocktail glass, they don't konw a good drink when they see one. nothing wrong with a martini/manhattan.

I save martini glasses for my cosmos and appletinis. And Godiva chocolate martinis.
