Defensive was not strong enough to hold them no matter the field position. I am ok with trying to get the ball back if you are concerned your defense won't be able to stop them.

I actually thought that was a solid effort by SMU and it does show that we can compete just fine in the new conference. Shame about our missed field goals and flag on a TD.

at least I come away from this game believing we are every bit as talented as Cincy. Not sure whether that means we are better than I thought we were earlier in the year or Cincy is yet another mediocre to poor AAC football program. Sadly, it's probably the latter

bottom line is that if we can't beat Houston and/or UCF, we don't deserve to be playing in a bowl game after losing some of the games we have

A 1st and 20 and they get a first down on a run. That is what really hurt the SMU chances.

no, it should have been a false start. Crazy call, even if he said something, that is never called when teams do it to us.

Out failure to stop them on a 1st and 20 summed up the day.

This was so winnable and we do just enough to lose. Lots of blame to go around, but red zone and special teams have screwed us all year.

As poorly as we played on defense, we sgtill had a chance at the end.
