Syracuse would have still had a chance to tie the game even with the charge call. 10 seconds left and Duke would have been throwing in the ball. Foul them and send them to the line. Duke had bricked a lot of free throws all night. Regardless of the call, I lay this one on JB.
Was awful, Fair got the shoulder. He has the right to the basket and he did everything he could to avoid that contact. That's a block every day of the week and twice on Sunday. Horrible call. Was surprised to see Boeheim that worked up though.

That's too bad. Didn't get to see OT. If Temple can play them close, surely we can in Memphis and beat them.

Temple was exhausted and making terrible decisions in OT. Down by 3 they got the ball to Pepper who tried to lean and get a foul rather than going up for a normal three point shot. Result was no foul and an ugly shot. And that was only one instance of bad play.

OAB, I always enjoy your posts even when I think you might be wrong or letting bias influence what you say. I think you are wrong here when you say it is "a block every day of the week...". The quote below is from an article on ESPN.

ESPN.com's Jeff Goodman spoke to three officials and there was no consensus opinion on the play, backing up the official's assertion.

The official, who asked not to be named, said he watched the play in slow motion, frame-by-frame four times, and he at least believes the correct call was made.

The official said that Syracuse's C.J. Fair was not in an upward motion and that Duke's Rodney Hood had established position.

"By the strict interpretation of the rule, it was a player control foul in my opinion," the official said. "The defender was in position with his feet facing his opponent before Fair raised his hand. I think if you watch it, at least frame-by-frame, it was a player-control foul."

He added that the defender does have the right, after establishing legal guarding position, to slide to a side to cover an opponent, which Hood did.

Will TCU ever win a conference game?

Syracuse up six on Maryland, under two minutes remaining.

As far as the TCU question, and without checking their remaining schedule. . . NO!

Just checked - @WV, @UT, and OU. So a big fat no. Two years in the Big 12, and only two conference wins. One was against Kansas which is hard to believe.

Boom Sooner- Rock Chalk a pretty good game. KU had a 42-33 lead at the half. But, now trail OU 58-56 with 10 minutes left in the game

SMU's sweep of UConn just got a quick but very complimentary mention in the Oklahoma/Kansas game. Cool.

USF giving UCONN a run 15 minutes in.
